This great man was once part of  the 23rd Field Company, Royal Canadian Engineers, who cleared and (re)built roads and bridges, and was present during Operation 'Market-Garden' in Holland. And helped out during the evacuation  when the 1st Airborne Division was stuck at Oosterbeek (west of Arnhem), and surrounded by Germans who closed in on these men. 

Sadly Donald Somerville past away on september 16th 2017. He will be remembered.......
